Graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the trumpet class of Docent Alfred Miczka. Since 1980 he has been professionally associated with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, where he holds the position of solo trumpet player and head of the trumpet section. As a musician of this orchestra he has taken part in over a hundred concert tours around the world. He has given concerts under the baton of many eminent Polish conductors, such as: Jacek Kaspszyk, Jan Krenz, Kazimierz Kord, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Krzysztof Penderecki. As a soloist, he has recorded, among others, Aleksander Arutunian’s Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra (conducted by G. Chmura), or Andrzej Panufnik’s Concerto in modo antico (conducted by T. Bugaj) with the National Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist, he has performed with the most renowned Polish orchestras. He takes part in numerous chamber and organ music festivals performing works by composers of the Baroque era. He is a lecturer of courses and methodical workshops. He participates in the juries of competitions and auditions and conducts consultation activities in the trumpet classes of music schools of the first and second degree. His students are laureates of international and national competitions. He is the organiser and artistic director of the “International Spring Trumpet Workshops – Vincent Bach Masterclass” held at the premises of the ŚLĄSK Song and Dance Ensemble.
