Jingyu Wu just graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music under the faculty of Professor Liu Nian.
Since 2008, she has been studying at the Central Conservatory of Music. Since 2021, she havs been studying for a master’s degree with Professor Liu Nian at Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She has also studied with Professor Tim Frederiksen at the Royal Danish Academy of Music since 2022.
In 2014, she won the second place in the junior group of the 8th Vladivostok International Youth Music Competition. In 2017, she won the 2nd prize for viola at the 9th Augusta Dombrovski International String Competition in Riga, Latvia (first vacancy). In 2019, she won the second prize of the fourth Chamber Music Competition of the Central Conservatory of Music.
During this period, she participated in the National Grand Theatre May Music Festival, Beijing International Music Festival, Liangzhu String Summer and other music festivals for many times.
She was selected as a player of the 5th and 6th Tokyo International Viola Competition and was selected in the Prague Spring International Viola Competition in 2023.
She has attended many master classes with Michael Kugel, Garth Knox, Nobuko Imai, Thomas Riebl and Hariolf Schlichtig.
From 2025, she would start her doctorate degree in Shanghai under professor Nian Liu.
