Today, on 3 February 2021, a unique ceremony took place at the City Hall of Dąbrowa Górnicza. Representatives of the city, as well as the world of music and culture, paid a special tribute to a remarkable person – Professor Zygmunt Tlatlik.
With his dedication and firm attitude, the long-term Artistic Director of Michał Spisak International Music Competition contributed to promoting knowledge about the outstanding composer from Dąbrowa Górnicza. Thanks to his efforts, during 12 editions, the competition has become an important and highly anticipated event of the international music life.
Prof. Zygmunt Tlatlik was officially thanked by Marcin Bazylak (President of Dąbrowa Górnicza), Prof. Roman Widaszek (current Artistic Director of the competition), Małgorzata Majewska (Director of the Zagłębie Palace of Culture), Michał Syska (Plenipotentiary of the President of Dąbrowa Górnicza for the City Brand), and Zofia Pielgrzym (long-term curator and Secretary of the Jury).
