Joanna Krupa

Born in 1992, a graduate of Grażyna Bacewicz Complex of State Music Schools in Koszalin in docent Aleksander Murawski’s piano class and Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in assistant professor Piotr Sałajczyk’s class.

Artistic achievements of this young pianist include, inter alia, the title of laureate at the XI Internationaler Michael Stricharz Wettbewerb für Junge Musiker in Zaporizhia (Ukraine), Gold Medal and Special Prize at the International Wendl & Lung Klavierwettbewerb Piano Competition in Vienna and the Wendl & Lung scholarship to participate in the International Master Classes of the 39th Wiener MusikSeminar at the University of Music in Vienna.

Joanna Krupa has been honoured for her achievements many a time, incl. the President of the Council of Ministers Scholarship and the President of the City of Koszalin Award for achievements in the field of artistic creation, promotion and protection of culture.

She has performed at the variety of concerts and music festivals as a soloist and chamber musician. For years, she has been a regular participant of numerous master classes, perfecting her technique with notable figures of pianistic circles, such as: prof. A. Jasiński, prof. K. Popowa-Zydroń, prof. A. Malikowa, prof. W. Świtała, prof. Z. Raubo, prof. C. Palese and prof. A. Orłowiecki.

She has been involved in teaching since 2015 and in 2018, she began to work as an accompanist at her alma mater. In 2020, she completed postgraduate studies in Piano Chamber Music in prof. Maria Szwajger-Kułakowska’s class.
