From 14 to 23 September 2016, Dąbrowa Górnicza for the 10th time hosted M.Spisak International Music Competition.
The jubilee event was inaugurated on 14 September, with a special concert performed by the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice under the direction of Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki with the participation of soloists:
- Łukasz Frant (cello)
- Adam Krzeszowiec (cello)
- Natalia Kurzac-Kotula (cello)
The programme listed:
- Michał Spisak – Concerto giocoso
- Krzysztof Penderecki – Concerto grosso for 3 cellos and orchestra
- Felix Mendelssohn – Bartholdy – Symphony No. 4 in A major, Op. 90 “Italian”
