Prof. Adán Delgado Illada

Trumpet / The Superior Conservatory 'Musical Arts Madrid'

Adán Delgado Illada studied at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Canary Islands under Agustin Ramos and at the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra Academy under Stephen Leisring and Ingrid Rebstock. He honed his skills at masterclasses with M. André, G. Touvron and J. Miller. He was a member of several prominent youth orchestras such as the European Union Youth Orchestra or the Jeunesses Musicals Youth Orchestra. He is the first prize winner of the international competition “Yamaha Xeno 2004” and the “10th Benidorm International Trumpet Contest” in 2008. Since 2009, he has been the principal trumpet player of the Spanish National Orchestra and is often invited to perform in other Spanish and international orchestras such as the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, the Madrid Symphony Orchestra and Ensemble Leonore (Italy). He has worked as an orchestral musician in the Palma Orchestra and the Palau de les Arts “Reina Sofia” Orchestra. He has collaborated with conductors such as Sir Neville Marriner, Neeme Järvi, Vladimir Ashkenazy. He has performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Konzerthaus and the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, among others. As a soloist, he has performed on numerous occasions with the Balearic Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Sa Nostra, the Ensemble Villa de la Orotava and Orquesta Filarmonia de Madrid, among others. He is also actively involved in teaching and is frequently invited to give masterclasses and recitals in Spain and abroad. From 2006 to 2014, he worked as a lecturer in the trumpet class at the Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance of the Balearic Islands, the Superior Conservatory of Katarina Gurska in Madrid (2016-2019) and currently at the Superior Conservatory “Musical Arts Madrid”.
