Trumpeter. A graduate of the Belarusian Academy of Music in trumpet professor. N.Volkov. In the years 1986-1988 he studied at the same university doctorate. From 1979 to 1990 – was a soloist in the Symphony Orchestra of the Belarusian TV and the Bolshoi Theater in Minsk. In the years 1986-1990 he was a lecturer in the trumpet class at the Belarusian Academy of Music. From October 1990, he took over the trumpet class at the Academy of Music in Wrocław, and from 2006 also at the Academy of Music in Łódź. In December 2002, he received the academic title of professor of musical arts from the President of the Republic of Poland. In the years 1992 – 2006 he was a soloist of the Wrocław Philharmonic.
He conducts intensive solo activity in Poland and abroad. He has performed with the majority of Polish symphony and chamber orchestras (e.g. Sinfonia Varsovia, Kraków Philharmonic, Wrocław Philharmonic, Gdańsk Philharmonic, Polish Radio Amadeus Chamber Orchestra, Capella Bydgostiensis Chamber Orchestra, Leopoldinum Chamber Orchestra), as well as with the National Opera Symphony Orchestra in Zagreb, Croatia, the Lviv Virtuoso Chamber Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the National Opera in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, the Symphony Orchestra of the National Opera in Ulan-Bator, Mongolia, the Representative Orchestra of the National Defense of Croatia under the baton of such conductors as Jerzy Maksymiuk, Robert Satanowski, Marek Pijarowski, Jerzy Salwarowski, Tadeusz Wojciechowski, Reinhard Seehafer (Germany), Larry Livingston (USA), Martin Hardy (England), Nikolai Dyadiura (Ukraine) and others. He constantly collaborated with the chamber quartet Prima Vista. Moreover, as a chamber musician, he collaborated with such outstanding musicians as Emma Kirkby, Crispian Steele-Perkins, Paul Esswood, Gillian Keith, Olga Pasiecznik, Daniel Stabrawa, Andrzej Chorosiński, Władysław Kłosiewicz, Marek Toporowski, and Jan Tomasz Adamus.
He has made many radio, television and CD recordings (including the first recordings of early music on historical instruments and premieres of contemporary music). The most important are the recording of the solo CD MONARCA DELLA TROMBA with the Wrocław Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra recorded by DUX, the CDs Panufnik Homage to Polish Music released by NAXOS, Concerto In Modo Antico for trumpet and orchestra (Sinfonia Varsovia conducted by M. Smolij) and CDs with works by J. S. Bach arranged for trumpets, flugelhorn and organ with the accompaniment of Piotr Rojek (organ), recorded by DUX.In Poland, Igor Cecocho is a precursor of playing the natural trumpet. He regularly collaborated as a soloist and chamber musician with such ensembles as the Baroque Orchestra of the Warsaw Chamber Opera, Concerto Polacco, Lower Silesian Baroque Orchestra, Musica Rara (Praga), Orkiestra Liryczna. He recorded about 30 albums with the music of the Jasna Góra composers of the 18th and 19th centuries at Jasna Góra.
He is the originator and founder of the trumpet band Wratislavia Trumpet Consort, composed of talented trumpeters of the young generation, who are his students and graduates. The band’s specialty is spatial music, and its additional attraction is the use of the entire range of instruments, including historical instruments from the Baroque era. The ensemble has successfully performed at many international organ and chamber music festivals. More than 70 graduates graduated under his supervision. Among the students there are winners of national and international competitions. He was a promoter in seven doctoral theses and a reviewer many times in doctoral theses, habilitation and professorial proceedings. He has participated as a lecturer in international trumpet master courses in Poland and abroad, and in the work of the jury at national and international competitions, including Moscow, Enschede, Riga, Minsk, Stara Zagora, Ohrid and others. At symposiums and seminars he gave a number of lectures on didactics and performance. The artist plays B & S and Antoine Courtois instruments.
