Violin / Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz

Soloist, chamber musician, pedagogue, connected with Poznań since his birth. He graduated with distinction from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań (violin class of Professor Jadwiga Kaliszewska). He perfected his playing under the guidance of Professor Andre Gertler. Winner of music competitions. Regarded as one of the most outstanding Polish professors teaching violin playing.

Outstanding chamber musician, for a decade associated with the early music ensemble Collegium Musicorum Posnaniensium. He is a co-founder and, for 24 years, the concertmaster of the “Amadeus” Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio – one of the most distinguished ensembles in Europe, under the direction of Agnieszka Duczmal. This activity has resulted in a rich discography featuring the artist himself and numerous tours across most European countries, as well as the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Kuwait, and Taiwan. In addition to his academic work, since 1992 he has also been employed at the prestigious Jadwiga Kaliszewska Secondary Music School in Poznań – known as the “School of Talents”, where he has been building a strong foundation for Polish violin successes from the youngest generation of violinists. He is a lecturer at master courses in Poland and abroad (Łańcut, Busko-Zdrój, Żagań, Przemyśl, Zakopane Academy of Arts, Puławy, Żychlin, Kozłówka, Lublin, Bern, Hanover, Graz, Rostock, Cardiff, Spring Time Malkocin, Calisia Music Center, Fuzhou – China, Beijing – China, Guangzhou – China, Bayerische Musikakademie Hammelburg, Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Center in Lusławice, Kazimierz nad Wisłą, Warsaw International Master Courses in Radziejowice). He is frequently invited to serve as a member of the jury for numerous violin and lute competitions, both in Poland and abroad. As a result of his pedagogical work, many of his students have achieved artistic successes. These include laureates of prestigious national and international violin competitions, musicians who perform in prestigious concert halls and radio studios, and those holding the esteemed positions of concertmasters in renowned orchestras both in Poland and abroad.

For his outstanding achievements, he has been honoured three times with the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Award, the Cross of Merit, the Medal of the Commission for National Education, the Gloria Artis Medal, and the Honorary badge Meritorious Activist of Culture. He was elected to the University Council of the Academy of Music in Poznań for the term 2021–2024.
