Maria Bieleninik-Szymańska is a graduate of the violin class of Professor Tomasz Tomaszewski and is currently pursuing her studies in the viola class of Professor Wolfgang Klos at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien.
She is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions, including the title of Laureate and Artistic Personality at the National Competition held as part of the “In the Baroque Style” Festival, third prize at the Intercollegiate Viola Competition, and third prize at the International Competition in Zurich. She was also awarded second prize at the 3rd National Viola Auditions in Poznań and received a special award from composer Michael Kimber himself.
Maria is developing her artistry as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. She regularly performs with the Classical Music Festival orchestra in Eisenstadt and Vienna, playing both the violin and the viola. She has participated in the Classic Szczecin workshops and performed alongside renowned artists such as Agata Szymczewska, Tomasz Tomaszewski, and Andriy Viytovych.
In the 2022/2023 academic year, she studied under the distinguished violist Vladimir Kossjanenko. During that time, she toured across Croatia—including Split, Zadar, and Dubrovnik—with the chamber orchestra The Virtuosos of Split. That same year, she was invited to perform at the Baroque Evening Festival in Varaždin, where she took part in a performance of Telemann’s Concerto for Four Violas.
Her artistic portfolio includes numerous chamber performances as well as solo appearances with orchestras such as the Croatian National Theatre in Split and the Euro Arts Academy Orchestra. She continues to refine her craft under the guidance of esteemed professors including Joachim Greiner (Universität der Künste Berlin) and Wolfgang Klos (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien).
In 2023, she was awarded a scholarship by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. In 2024, she received the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Marshal’s Award for the best artistic diploma of the 2023/2024 academic year.
She currently holds the position of Principal String Player (1st voice) and Assistant Section Leader at the Filharmonia Dolnośląska im.Ludomira Różyckiego w Jeleniej Górze.
