Bóka Emőke was born in Győr (Hungary) in 1998. In 2013-2017, she attended the János Richter Music High School, in the bassoon class of Magdolna Szilliné Orlovits. In 2020, she graduated from the István Széchenyi University (Széchenyi Egyetem) in Győr, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in the field of performative arts – classical bassoon, in the class of Edina Szalai. In 2019-2020, she took part in the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien under Erasmus programme in Hanover, in the class of Bence Bogányi. Since 2020, she has been a student of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music (Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetem), in the bassoon class taught by György Lakatos and István Harteinstein. She has participated in the Oboe and Bassoon Competition for Vocational Music Schools in Veszprém (6-8 March 2015) (bassoon, age group 1: 3rd place), and several times in the Scientific and Artistic Conference of István Széchenyi University, winning 2nd place (22 November 2017), 3rd place (25 April 2018), Special Prize (7 November 2018) and 2nd place (9 April 2019) in the Woodwind Section, respectively.
