Carla has been awarded in various competitions, receiving prizes such as the Mainake Prize from the Promúsica Association of Málaga, First Prize in the Leioa “César Uceda” Young Performers Competition, the David Russell Awards (First Prize in the children’s category and the Jury’s Special Prize), First Prize in the Intercentros Melómano Competition (Madrid ) and Second National Prize, Second Prize in the “Cardenal Cisneros” Competition, Third Prize in the Ciudad de Cuenca Young Performers Contest, AIE Forum Musikae Prize, Cidade de Vigo Prize, and Second Prize in the Villa de Llanes International Viola Competition.

Her artistic journey encompasses notable collaborations with various chamber ensembles and significant participation in internationally renowned festivals such as the “Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival,” “Chamber Fest München,” “Rostock Sommercampus Musik Festival,” or “Festival Internacional de Música de Cámara Musethica”. Since September 2024 she is part of the prestigious Villa-Musica Rheinland Pfalz chamber music academy.

Carla has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Nils Mönkemeyer, Julia Fischer, Reto Bieri, Priya Michelle, Markus Bellheim, and Lena Neudauer.

As a soloist she has played with orchestras such as Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock, Promúsica de Málaga, Munich Classical Players or Augsburger Kammerorchester. Moreover, Carla has been the recipient of training scholarships from prestigious institutions such as the AIE Society and the Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation. Her excellence and artistic promise have led her to be selected as an “artist on tour 2024” by AIE-Foundation, with a series of concerts scheduled in Spain for Autumn 2024.

Carla Guillén García (1999, Madrid) began studying violin at the age of 4 at the CEDAM Academy in Madrid with Sergio Castro and María José Cid. In 2006, she started at the Joaquín Turina Professional Conservatory of Madrid with the viola. She completed her professional degree studies at the age of sixteen with top honors, receiving the Viola End of Degree Prize and the Extraordinary Prize from the Community of Madrid, under the guidance of Professor Ignacio G. de la Cuesta. During her advanced studies, she trained with masters such as Ashan Pillai, Laure Gaudron and Wenting Kang.

Now she is studying a Master at the prestigious Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin under the tutelage of maestro Nils Mönkemeyer.
