Karolina Bober

Clarinet / Poland

Karolina Bober was born on the 11 February 1996. She started to play the clarinet at the Grażyna Bacewicz Primary Music School in Jaworzno at the age of 8, and continued to study in the Karol Szymanowski Secondary Music School in Katowice. In 2019 she graduated from Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the class of Arkadiusz Adamski.

Karolina is a laureate of many competitions, including the 1st prize at the International Woodwinds Competition in Warsaw (2010 and 2013), 2nd prize at the 10th Clarinet Festival in Piotrków Trybunalski (2013), 1st prize at the 7th West Pomeranian Clarinet Festival in Szczecin (2016) and 2nd prize at the 13th International Clarinet Competition Saverio Mercadante (2017).

She has received scholarships from Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage and Polish Children’s Fund. Since the age of 15, she has been a principal clarinettist – soloist of the Young Polish Philharmonic Orchestra.

Nowadays she is a clarinettist of the Jerzy Semkow Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, where she has been working since 2019.
