He studied cello initially with Paweł Głombik, later with Adam Krzeszowiec and Arkadiusz Dobrowolski, developing his skills under such eminent masters and tutors as Mischa Maisky, Mats Lidström, István Várdai, Kazimierz Michalik, Stanisław Firlej, Andrzej Bauer, Tomasz Strahl, Roman Jabłoński, Roberto Trainini, Tomasz Lisiecki, Anna Banaś, Marcin Zdunik, and Maciej Kułakowski. He is currently a pupil of Alexander Gebert at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.
Filip Krzeszowiec’s accolades won in national and international cello competitions include first prizes in the International Jan Vychytil Cello Competition in Prague, Talents for Europe International Competition of Bohdan Warchal in Dolný Kubín, Kazimierz Wiłkomirski Youth International Cello Competition and International Bach Solo Competition, both in Poznań.
The young artist has received scholarships from CEA Artistic Education Centre and the Polish Children’s Fund, as well as the ministerial programme – Young Poland (2021), and Hans und Eugenia Jütting Stiftung (2023). In 2024 he received the scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland.
The cellist made his debut with a recital at the Conservatory of Music in Piacenza in 2019. He has since appeared as a soloist with the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Szent István Philharmonic in Budapest, Jaworzno City Archetti Chamber Orchestra, and Radom Chamber Orchestra. He has given performances at such international festivals in Poland as the Poznań Music Spring (Poland), Piła Festival & Academy, Trzy-Czte-Ry Festival in Warsaw, Jan Stanienda Arsenal Nights Festival in Wrocław, Karol Szymanowski Music Festival in Zakopane, Andrzej Nikodemowicz Festiwal in Lublin, Chamber Music Festival ENSEMBLE in Radziejowice, Young Arts Festival in Krosno, and also Festival of Young Music Competition Winners in Košice (Slovakia), Cidnay Festival & Academy in Santo Tirso (Portugal).
In 2024 he took part in the recording of the album Project Hungarica 2 (CD Accord), which included his performance of György Ligeti’s Sonata for Solo Cello.
Currently, he is studying in Alexander Gebert’s class at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.
