Michał Serwin

Clarinet / Poland

Michał Serwin started his education at the 1st degree State Music School in Wadowice in the clarinet class of mgr Bartłomiej Kozina. He continued his 2nd degree education at the same institution, and then studied for three years at the National Music High School in Bielsko-Biała in the clarinet class of mgr Łukasz Iskrzycki. Currently he is a student of the Academy of Music in Katowice in the clarinet class of Prof. Arkadiusz Adamski.

He is a laureate of many of national and international solo competitions, including the 1st prize at the Sava Dimitrov International Clarinet Competition in Sofia (2020), 2nd Prize at the 12th International Competition of Wind Instruments in Wrocław (2019), 2nd Prize at the National Music Competiton of the Centre of Artistic Education (2019), and 2nd Prize at the 13th Clarinet Festival in Szczecin (2018). He is actively involved in chamber music and has numerous achievements in this field as well.

He has participated in a lot of orchestral projects Poland and abroad, e.g. European Spirit of Youth Orchestra, International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra, NOR 59 Sommerkurs, Polish Young Philharmony, Lutoslawski Youth Orchestra (Polish Youth Orchestra). He has participated in several master classes with eminent clarinettists, such as Gabor Varga, Karel Dohnal and Bence Szepesi.
