Mingzhe Xiao began learning the violin at the age of 6 under Teacher Mingjian Liu, later studying with Associate Professor Song Peng of Wuhan Conservatory of Music. Since high school, he has also been learning from Li Honggang. Now he is a Sophomore in Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where he currently studies under Associate Professor Jiamin Yuan and takes chamber music lessons from Professor Yinja Yu.
During his school years, he has received master classes with Lorent Nasturika, Sung Ju Lee, Jeremy Garbarg, Peter SchuMayer, Ju Young-Baek, Guillaume Sutre, and Philippe Honore, and has earned unanimous recognition.
In the summer of 2024, he was invited to Italy to participate in the Dolomiti Chamber Music Festival. There, he received guidance from Hai Ye-Ni, principal cellist of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and Gina Beukes, former principal second violinist of the London Symphony Orchestra, and took part in the closing ceremony performance.
In 2025, he was admitted to the Liszt Summer Academy in Weimar and the Allegro Vivo Summer Academy in Austria, where he will study under Professors Ingolf Turban and Thomas Fheodoroff.
