At 17, Xinrui Xie was admitted to the violin performance program at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) as the youngest student, studying under Professor Mark Gothoni. She entered the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) Primary School at the age of 9, studying with Professor Yan Tao. In 2019, she advanced to the CCOM Middle School with outstanding results and later joined the studio of Professor Liu Xiao.
At the age of 13, she caught the attention of renowned violinist and educator Professor Qian Zhou during a competition and has been studying with her ever since.
Xinrui has received numerous awards in international competitions. She won Third Prize at the 2018 Hong Kong International Violin Competition and First Prize at the 2019 Lviv International Junior Violin Competition, where her performance was praised by local press for its emotional depth. In 2020, she received the Young Artist Award at the Singapore International Violin Festival and First Prizes at both the Serbia International Music Competition and the UK-based “Artist of the Year 2019–2020” competition. She later won Third Prize at the 2021 Japan Eurasia International Violin Competition, First Prize at the 31st Barletta International Competition in Italy, and Second Prize at the 2022 Kogan International Junior Violin Competition. In 2024, she was awarded a scholarship to attend the renowned Keshet Eilon Music Center in Israel.
