The call for applications for the 15th edition of the competition has started

The call for entries to the 15th Michał Spisak International Music Competition, to be held from 1-10 October 2025 in the specialities of violin, viola and cello, has begun.

The competition will open on 1 October with an opening concert performed by the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra – a formation made up of adepts and graduates of music academies under the age of 30. The soloist of the concert will be Seina Matsuoka (violin) – winner of, among other prizes, the First Prize in the Second International Karol Szymanowski Music Competition (2022).

Traditionally, the competition will take place in three stages:

Stage I: 2-3 October
Stage II: 4-6 October
Stage III: 7-9 October

On 10 October, the Concert of the Laureates will be held, accompanied by the Symphonic Orchestra of the Zabrze Philharmonic conducted by Sławomir Chrzanowski, who will also accompany the participants during Stage III of the competition auditions.
