He is the principal horn player of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. His first music tutors were his father and brother. He studied under Jože Falout at the Ljubljana Academy of Music, where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. After that, he became Assistant Professor . He continued his studies under Radovan Vlatković at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. He has performed with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and most of the leading orchestras of the former Yugoslavia. As guest principal French horn player, he collaborated with many prominent orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Opera La Monnaie in Brussels, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Australian Symphony Orchestra. He has frequently been hired to perform and tour with the Budapest Festival Orchestra under the baton of Ivan Fisher. As a soloist, he has performed alongside such conductors as Anton Nanut, Uroš Lajovic, En Shao, Yakov Kreizberg and Sian Edwards. He won the international competition in Porcia, Italy, and was awarded the Prešeren Prize from the Ministry of Culture of Slovenia (2008). Since 1998 he has been teaching at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, and since 1995 at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, Croatia.
