Trumpeter, soloist and chamber musician. Graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the trumpet class of Professor Stanisław Dziewior. He honed his skills at the Hochschule fur Musik “Hanns Eisler” under the supervision of Professor William Forman. In 2020, he obtained the title of Doctor of Arts. He is a laureate of many national and international competitions (including 1st Prize at the 3rd Ogólnopolski Konkurs Instrumentów Dętych Blaszanych (transl. from Polish: National Brass Instruments Competition) in Katowice, 1st Prize at the 5th Michał Spisak International Music Competition and 3rd Prize at the Trumpeters’ Festival in Kalisz). He has taken part in masterclasses given by eminent trumpeters (including Gabor Tarkovi, Malte Burba, Michael Evald). He was a long-term scholarship holder of the Polish Children’s Fund, as well as a scholarship from the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Poland and the Mayor of the City of Częstochowa. In addition, he is a winner of the “Młoda Polska” scholarship and the “Jutting Stiftung” foundation. Since September 2013, he has been a trumpet player with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. As a soloist, he has repeatedly given recitals at, among others, the St. Magdalene Cathedral in Stendal, Germany. As a chamber musician, he has taken part in many concerts at home and abroad (e.g. at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, at the “Prague Spring” festival of contemporary music, or the “Warsaw Autumn” festival – both as a chamber musician and as a soloist).
