Graduate of the Academy of Music in Cracow in the class of French horn of senior lecturer Kazimierz Pamula. With his wind quintet in 1992 he won 2nd Prize in the Chamber Music Competition in Wroclaw. In 1994, he won 3rd Prize in the 1st National Young French Horn Players Festival in Lodz. In 1995, he was a participant in the music workshops at the International French Horn Players Festival in Budapest conducted by Froydis Ree Wekre, Francis Orval, Adam Friedrich and the American Horn Quartet. During his studies in Cracow, he took part in courses at the International Bach Academy hosted by Helmuth Rilling in Stuttgart and in chamber and orchestral music workshops in Lund, Sweden. In 1998, he and his brass quintet won 3rd Prize at the International Kiejstut Bacewicz Chamber Music Competition and 2nd Prize at the 2nd National Young French Horn Players Festival in Lodz, Poland. He was also awarded the Minister of Culture and Art scholarship. He participated in workshops led by Stefan de Leval Jezierski, Xiao Ming-Han, Dale Clevenger and Jennifer Montone. He has collaborated with orchestras and chamber ensembles, including the Capella Cracoviensis, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Sinfonia Varsovia, AUKSO Tychy, and the Silesian Quartet. Since 1999 he has been a musician with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice (currently principal French horn player) and a member of the Capella Cracoviensis wind quintet. Tadeusz Tomaszewski has been a lecturer at the Academy of Music in Cracow since 2012. In 2016 he received the degree of Doctor of Musical Arts and in 2020 the postdoctoral degree.
