Silesian Chamber Players Quintet – Ba…rock concert
20 August, 5:00 p.m. Dance Circle in the Zielona Park
‘The ba… rock concert, or when classic meets rock and rock becomes classic’. A classic is a collection of works, considered to be excellent. We invite you to a concert that is a marriage of great art and fantastic entertainment! A concert by a string quintet which will perform an exceptional, unusual repertoire. The musicians of the Silesian Chamber Players Quintet will perform their own arrangements of hits from various genres of popular music from the second half of the 20th century, including absolute classics! We will hear hits by Ray Charles, Deep Purple, The Doors, Queen, as well as songs by ABBA and the Bee Gees in new, original versions. There will also be plenty of Polish hits – the musicians have prepared a famous song by Czesław Niemen, entitled “Pod papugami”. The band has existed for over 20 years – initially as a quartet, later supplemented by the addition of a double bass, which allowed it to expand its repertoire. The musicians are also inspired by other musical genres, including popular music of the 1960s and 1970s (the album entitled ‘Ba… ROCKOWO’) and Jewish music (the album entitled ‘Mecyje’).
